Restart by Gordon Korman
This weekend, I really wanted to sit back and relish the adventures in a book. I had many to pick and a certain book’s cover caught me eye, which urged me to read it. I know they say,”Never judge a book by its cover”. But this book was quite a lot more than its cover.
Restart, a book whose appealing cover just compelled me to flip through the first few pages. And gosh! Were they not captivating. Ever wondered what you would be if you got to a blank white canvas which you could paint with whatever colour you liked?
That’s what this book’s athletic, state championship winning captain protagonist- Chase Ambrose gets to do after a bad diving position ensured he only had a concussion and a left shoulder injury. But what makes him into a different person is his amnesia.
Earlier a thug along with his football buddies(or should I say Neanderthals)who have together devastated and persecuted the life of a child at a point that he had to be sent out of town. Falling of the roof of his house may not have been such a cherishable memory for Chase but will his new self turn that around. Read the book to know more.
Like I said in the beginning, this book was amazing. I would really recommend it for people between the ages of 9-16 beacuse this book is a sandwich of humour and values that is just enthralling to read.
