It’s been quite some time since the last post on this website. So I figured what better moment than the winter break to post my first poem of December 2024. I seemed to have a writer’s block on what I needed to write on and that was when I realized why not have a poem on the winter break. And soon thoughts came rushing to me and here it is organized and ready to read. Hope you enjoy reading as much as I loved writing it!
The Time Has Come

The time has come,
For the school bell to chime,
A sign for the end of a cool term.
It’s all been firm,
And as we squirm out of,
Deadlines and timetables,
Side tables take limelight
As rest takes flight,
Giving homework great fight!
A glorious two weeks,
As rest becomes the crew chief,
As Christmas draws near,
Studies take reef.
Fear not,
The season of joy has arrived
A ploy for some family fun thrive,
A life full of familiar fun.
The time has come,
For the school bell to chime,
A sign for the end of a cool term.
A germ from meeting our best mates,
Crates of dismay overcome our zest,
To be separated from our chums,
As crumbs of disappointment,
Among drums of cakey treats.
Freak not,
It’s only two weeks tops,
For the start of another dawn,
A spawn for some more school joy.
