Twitch is an enthralling read about a twitcher who is nicknamed Twitch.
He is a kind, sensitive 12-year-old boy, who always stands up for what is right. He adores birds and greatly cares for his four pet pigeons, three hens and a family of swallows, who nest in his bedroom every year. He gets bullied by students in his school and does not have friends at the beginning.
However, that does not it does not matter much to him as he has many nature buddies. There is never a dull moment with his pigeons and chickens. When the news is out that a famous robber- Robber Ryan has escaped prison and his hiding in Aves wood, he is dismayed as his hide is located it the same location preventing him from having much fun during his vacation.
Will this be an end to his vacation plans or will there still be a birdwatching adventure for him?
I loved the book and would rate it 4/5 as the book was interesting and captivating. However, many scenes did not make much sense for me.
I would recommend Twitch to people aging 10 plus as it is hard for the younger kids to understand.
