The Movie Review Of the Sequel: Inside Out 2

My summer holidays were ending quick and I needed to do something just before school begins. It was (drumroll…..) Movie Time! I had been recommended Inside Out 2 by many people and I really wanted to check it out. So this Saturday, we headed over to the cinema to watch this film.

Inside Out 2 is the highly anticipated sequel to the first Inside Out movie released in 2015. Being little at the time I watched the first Inside Out film but, I did not understand much of it. Today, being much older and understanding, I could not wait to watch its sequel: Inside- Out 2.

I watched this movie yesterday at Vox Cinemas. It had been quite a long time since we had last been at the theatres. We grabbed some popcorn before the movie which begun after a long stream of ads. But soon enough, the movie did begin. And to know about how it was, just hang on.

The film began with Riley, now thirteen facing challenges every teen does her age. Inside her brain, without her knowledge new emotions appear at the control with Anxiety being the leader. This does not hit well with Joy and for a very good reason. Soon, she along with her comrades- Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness get exiled to the vault. Back in headquarters, a lot goes on including Anxiety turning Riley into a more selfish personality. The question remains though. Can Joy save Riley from being a jerk? Well we might already know the answer here as every tale and every conflict sure does have a resolution in most children’s films.

I would rate this motion picture a four on five. Majority of the things in the movie were quite relatable and personally I understand the hype around this film because of its emotional touch and relatability. However, it does lack conciseness in few parts, making the sudden changes quite perplexing and awkward. Further, I feel this movie has great meaning and therefore, could hit well with pre-teens and teens rather than children below 10.
