Advantages of Technologies
Greg Kincaid a famous writer & advocate by profession once said – “No matter how much falls on us, we keep ploughing ahead. That’s the only way to keep the roads clear”.
I’m certain I speak for all when I say the year 2020 was a game changer for all of us. The pandemic compelled us to shift gears and pace with technology and the changing circumstances. During this time, technology played a vital role in keeping the world connected. Until the pandemic, I did not have a requirement to use the internet as much as I do now. Introduction of online classes was possible because of modern day technology. I, who was stuck in India due to global travel ban, was able to take up the online classes because of man’s marvellous creation of technology. Technology had helped me get on with my life, albeit remotely.
While growing up, I looked at my dad working on his computer and used to play pretend to be working like him.The fun part of taking classes from home was that I got to work on my laptop just like my dad. My laptop had become a doorway to my online classroom, to my extended family living overseas through video calls and to internet of things.Technology had become my virtual friend in those challenging times by giving me access to the outside world while being in the comfort of my home.
Now I am well- versed with the internet of things. 2020 might have been a challenging year for all of us but it had improved our knowledge of technology. No wonder people say- “Try to find the good in the bad”.
