As William Wordsworth rightly said in his preface to ‘Lyrical Ballads‘, “Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquillity”.
It’s been quite a while since poetry nourished this blog. Hence, here’s a poem that will inspire you to tackle your adversity. After all, it is not only Strength in Diversity but rather Strength in Adversity.

Adversity is a shared infirmity,
You may think you can cable around it,
But you surely will not be able to,
Because amidst our diversities,
Lies that deadly infirmity of adversity.
Adversity is like a breeze,
It will hardly freeze,
Or please you too much,
But it rather bees around you.
It will always find you,
But you must kindle it,
And ensure it dwindles off,
With your intellect.
Adversity is a special infirmity,
It’s only cure is your mind’s diversity,
And its capabilities to engage,
Along with experience as the sage.
Adversity is like a breeze,
It is hard to miss,
But when it hits,
Make sure you use it well.
It will take you out of your shell,
And the rest will tell,
Wisdom will dwell,
And success spell.
Adversity is a special infirmity,
It harbors a committee of intellect and maturity,
Its subtleties are fruitful,
Just be sure to secure it well.
Its not just Strength in Diversity,
But rather Strength in Adversity.
